At SMR we value wellbeing and prioritise creating a supportive environment where each team member feels supported and cared for. Wellbeing is not just a priority; it’s an integral part of our company culture and is promoted through numerous initiatives. We’ve provided specialist training to several volunteers to create a team of Wellness First Aiders who are available to provide initial support to colleagues experiencing mental health challenges. We also have dedicated monthly team building activity days, with a wellbeing focus.

SMR has always prided itself on having a richly diverse staff. We are proud of the multicultural and international diversity throughout the team. From 50 staff, at last count the office speaks 19 languages across 19 nationalities. our differences are celebrated, because they make SMR stronger.

SMR has an enviable ‘blue chip’ client base, allowing us to operate across the UK. More locally, in the last year we have has numerous successes to be proud of in our home county of Yorkshire. We’ve received planning approval for circa 3.5m sqft of I&L space in Yorkshire, this is in addition to over 1.5M sqft under construction or recently completed. Our new approvals providing over 550 dwellings, half of which are already on site and under construction. They are also working with two separate local house builders to develop a more sustainably focused inclusive house type range that can be utilised across multiple tenure models.
