SMR started this month with a trip out of the office, on a historical walking tour of our local area, Harrogate. Spending our Wellness Wednesday learning about the wonderful place on our doorstep and getting some light exercise (the rain was less than light!)

For our monthly lunch club, we enjoyed a Moroccan Chicken traybake with couscous from Paul, for his last lunch club. Jess made a Corned Beef Hash and Sara baked a classic Chocolate brownie.

We also enjoyed a lovely brunch at All Bar One for our seasonal Ladies Lunch.

There were a couple of well-deserved promotions this month: Christian, after years of gentle pestering CV to get his MCIAT ‘in the bag’ and the sterling work he has undertaken in all the SMR teams he’s worked in, the Directors wanted to recognise his efforts and were very happy to announce his promotion to Project Technologist (MCIAT). And Hikmat, who is an extremely positive voice within SMR and progressing well within our Workspace team, we’re further integrating her as a permanent member of #teamSMR, which has resulted in a change of contract. Congratulations to both!

We said goodbye to Paul and wished him a happy retirement with a farewell cake!
