Construction began in January 2024, and the facility now stands as a flagship example of SMR’s commitment to delivering high-quality, user-focused commercial spaces for leading operators like Safestore.
The building comprises a ground floor and three mezzanine levels, with storage units. Internal circulation is fully level throughout, with wide corridors and step-free access to ensure ease of use for all customers. Externally, the site offers 16 parking bays, including EV charging, accessible spaces, and generous loading zones—all sheltered beneath a 4.5m high undercroft for protected access in all weather.
The facility achieved a BREEAM Very Good rating, reflecting SMR’s commitment to environmental performance and long-term resilience. External finishes include brick-slip cladding facing residential neighbours and composite cladding panels, blending durability with contextual sensitivity.
