New Market Lane, Wakefield Developer-Led Automation
Completed in September 2022, SMR was appointed by Mountpark and subsequently novated to the General Contractor (ISG Retail Ltd) from the inception to completion for the 2m sq.ft Automated Distribution Centre for a large global online retailer.
Due to some considerable site constraints, the building was designed to reflect the site conditions and moved away from the Operators standard ‘template’. However, due to SMR’s extensive knowledge of the operational requirements we successfully demonstrated that the alternative layout was suitable.
The scheme included a large array of roof-mounted PV units and achieved BREEAM ‘Excellent’ accreditation.
