Working closely with the base build developer, SMR were asked to provide services for the design and fit-out of the warehouse and office spaces. Engaging with the developer early on meant the Client’s requirements could be incorporated into the base build, resulting in time and cost savings and a more sustainable design.
Unit 4 will become Ireland’s first Net Zero logistics building using a glue-laminated structural timber frame, achieving LEED Gold and BREEAM Excellent ratings. This reflects the Client’s commitment towards decarbonisation and sustainability, a journey which SMR are proud to be a part of as we aim to stay at the forefront of sustainable logistics design and challenge industry standards.
Unit 3 completed in Q4 2023 with works to Unit 4 expected to follow shortly after.
