Store Refurbishment Project
SMR Architects were appointed to deliver architectural services for the Waitrose Lichfield branch as part of the 2023 Refrigeration Programme, commissioned by Waitrose & Partners / John Lewis Partnership.
The refurbishment aligned with the latest design standards and included extensive internal and external upgrades. Enhancements featured a new sushi counter, refreshed meat, fish, cheese, and deli sections, improvements to the back-of-house areas, and installation of new plant equipment in the service yard.
The rebranded Waite & Rose Café was particularly well received by regular customers, contributing to the store’s renewed appeal and improved shopping experience.
