We are all extremely thrilled to have received the Bronze award for Investors in People on our first assessment. Going beyond the basic standard, SMR joins the likes of The Home Office with a Bronze certification, after having completed an additional 36 evidence requirements in areas such as management strategy, communication of core values and staff recognition.

We are very proud to have gained this achievement within the first six months of trading as SMR Architects, and the award is a real testament to the commitment of everybody in our team and to the collaborative nature of our business.

The IIP accreditation is a national quality standard designed to help companies improve their business performance through their people. In achieving the Bronze standard SMR have demonstrated their continued commitment to empowering their employees, supporting a company-wide culture of learning and creating a high-performance environment that delivers a high standard of work to its clients.

Says Sara Moody, Office Manager, who co-ordinated the application,

‘Great people make a great business and SMR should feel proud that it has both. I would like to thank everybody for a great team effort!’

Steve Burrows, Managing Director of Investors in People North of England says

“I would like to congratulate the whole team at SMR Architects on their fantastic achievement. We believe that good people make a great business and as a proven organisational development framework, Investors in People is designed to help organisations and their people to realise potential, enhance performance and meet goals. With their Bronze accreditation, SMR is certainly working to realise their people potential.”
