Paul Foster

Graduating from Portsmouth School of Architecture in 1990, Paul carved a role within London practices small then large. Paul’s experience and enthusiasms encompass digital design through to written specification, technical resolution strategic and detail, and compliance and risk, which is current focus.

Construction sectors include retail developments whether urban and complex or freestanding amongst landscape, heritage projects, flagship office and laboratory buildings. More recently, Paul played a compliance, liaison and specifications leadership role for a complex hospital regeneration in a coastal environment, where Paul’s collaboration with suppliers, contractor team and building control enabled the team leader to focus upon team dynamics and design direction.

Paul enjoys working closely with contractors, previously co-located with project construction and consultant teams on site. This is foundation for Paul’s SMR role, health and safety analysis and documentation in support of principal designer responsibilities.

Outside of work Paul enjoys all things designed, whether automotive, architectural or technological, spending time with his partner, two Yorkshire Terriers and Tortoiseshell cat. Paul is a keen cyclist, trading the London cycle commute for exploration in fresh country air.
