Harrogate’s newest practice SMR Architects Ltd (Smalley Marsey Rispin) is celebrating its launch after successful demerger of the original company, Smith Smalley Architects Ltd.

The new practice, whose directors are Mathew Smalley, Amanda Marsey and Simon Rispin, is now operating from open plan offices in central Harrogate’s ‘The Exchange’ building. Bringing with them prestigious clients such as John Lewis, Waitrose, Morrisons, Mace and KPS, the SMR team is excited to build on existing skills and expertise to service existing clients and create new partnerships.

Key to the creation of this new firm has been an evaluation of working practices to create a company that is team focused in its approach to delivering intelligently designed projects in a collaborative and practical way.

Mathew Smalley, Director at SMR said

These are exciting times and we look forward to developing our firm in a competitive industry. While we are a new entity, we have the market advantage of over two decades of experience in the areas of food retail and logistics. Building on that expertise is a priority and our excellent team are well versed in the technology required to create innovative, practical solutions in order to deliver the highest quality service to the property and construction market.

Achieving a smooth transition has been a vital part of the process of creating SMR and we believe that our success in this area has enabled us to form a robust and professional organisation with a strong emphasis on best practice and a solid team focus.
